About the Toddler GroupByfleet Toddler Group (also known as 'Pram Club') has been running for many years, and is kept going by a group of enthusiastic committee members on an entirely voluntary basis. The group is non-profit making, and anyone caring for children under school age, or mums-to-be with no other children, are welcome. The aims of the Toddler Group are: • to provide an opportunity for fun and creative play in a safe and stimulating environment, including arts and craft activities and song time, for all children aged 0-4 years • to provide an opportunity for the parents/carers of these children to meet and make new friends with similar interests and experiences, and to develop a sense of belonging within the community • to encourage the children to interact and socialise with, and to enjoy the company of other children, and to provide a stepping stone for preparing them to go to a playgroup/Nursery • to welcome and value everyone, whatever their age, race, gender, cultural background or special needs Parents/carers are responsible for the children they bring to the group at all times and must stay to look after them. Any parent/carer attending the Group on a regular basis can become a committee member. This would just involve helping out at the weekly sessions, plus you would have input into ideas for craft sessions, entertainment for the Christmas party, and any improvements that could be made to the group. (Children of committee members gain free admission to the weekly play sessions). Please speak to a committee member if you are interested. Details of our admission charges are shown below. We keep these as low as possible; they cover our costs (inc. hall hire and insurance) and a little extra for craft supplies and occasionally new play equipment.
